The Texas Poker Open continued at Champions Club in Houston, Texas, with the High Roller Event #7: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha.

The Texas Poker Open High Roller Event #7: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha attracted a total of 16 entrants to create a prize pool of $160,000. The final three players finished in the money, and Isaac Kempton claimed the $86,400 first-place prize, 86 PGT points, and the Texas Poker Open Belt Buckle trophy.

Michael Kuney, Lawrence Chang, Bruce Walters, Andrew Ige, Daniel Holmes, Tyler Brown, and Jim Collopy were among the players who did not cash. Jeremy Ausmus was the unfortunate bubble bubble boy when he ran into Kempton's flopped top set.

David Mzareulov won High Roller Event #8: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha the previous night and scored an impressive fifth cash at the Texas Poker Open by finishing in the money in this event. Mzareulov had gotten the majority of chips in with a straight and the rest went in on the river, but Kempton had made a flush to eliminate Mzareulov in third place.

Kempton held more than 80% of the chips when heads-up play began, but that would quickly change as Lichtenberger doubled twice to leave Kempton with less than one-quarter of the chips in play. Kempton fought back and doubled to regain a big lead when he flopped a set, and it wasn't long before Lichtenberger's short stack went into the middle. Kempton flopped two pair, and when Lichtenberger was unable to improve, he was eliminated as runner-up while Kempton secured the victory.

This is Kempton's sixth PGT title and his lifetime PGT earnings now surpass $4,000,000.
